Here’s a couple to start us off - if you have an electric oven or hob, turn them off a minute or so before you need to remove the food. they always stay hot for a while. With the high load they demand this can save a lot of energy. Just tink if you save a minute a day - thats a couple of hours a year at least.
Drive your car at a lower speed to increase fuel consumption - lowering your speed to 65mph can save 5 to 10 miles pergallon with a diesel.
We bought a Maytag heavyduty wash machine but not a dryer. We hang clothes on the rod above the bathtub. My husband recently built a “big-man’s” wooden chair on our 8 by 12 porch. The chair is about 5 foot long. He left up 2 poles. I bought some clothesline and strung up one between the two poles. We have not used a dryer in years and we don’t miss it.
In addition, we use a Wok on one of the burners of our natural gas stove instead of the microwave.
