What is the goal? Well I thought I would start this post by jotting down some of my thoughts and hopefully the insight will be useful to others. So my goal is to create and income that I can live on that is self-sustaining and requires little maintenance. An analogy would be having lots of capital in the bank and investment areas. If this was the case the maintenance would be concerned with ensuring that the investments were in the right place.   Not a bad strategy if you have enough capital – but unfortunately I don’t.

So I am putting together a portfolio of ‘investments’ with very low capital that build on intellectual capital and hard work. Here are a list of these assets, channels and strategies (in no particular order).

The OneToRemember website where I market a range of books and ebooks focused on renewable energy and sustainable living. The main sources of revenue from this website arise from income from selling ebooks that I own the rights to or I have written, public domain and ebooks that I earn a commission from.  Books also form a portion of the income, although buying and selling

tangible books requires more ‘work’ than selling ebooks.  So why sell books? Well first of all I like books, second there is a market for them, third, not everyone wants and ebook and fourth much of the material in books is not available in ebook form- yet. OneToRemember was created some time ago now first as a basic HTML website, then using Lightcommerce software and then more recently xcart software.

It just doesn’t all quite hang together and I feel that I need to go to the next stage. So here are a few issues.

My ecommerce site is located at http://www.OneToRemember.co.uk/xcart I have redirected onetoremember.co.uk to this site so it is like a home page. But I have some other sites too. For example this wordpress site at /blog a community forum at /community and of course the free green auction site EnergyBook at http://www.EnergyBook.co.uk or http://www.wxtrade.com

It all seems a bit disjointed I am thinking about build a new home page that then links to the other sites and applications but how should I do this so that it is possible to get back to the main page? Is there a sort of frame that I should use?

I would welcome some thoughts on how I could pull all this together.
