Topping up wind generated electricity

Wind power is often chosen either because an electrical mains supply is not available on practical grounds such as with some caravans, houseboats etc. or because it is too expensive to install because of the remote location. It would be unlikely that wind power could provide all the electricity required and therefore additional means of generating electricity may need to be considered.
