We can reduce our energy use at home

With a little effort we can reduce our energy use at home. Energy efficient light bulbs, a degree lower on the heating, switching off the odd stand-by appliance will all help. But will this save energy? Why not I hear you cry! Well what will you do with the money you save? A drive to the shops, a meal out for two, or a vacation away from home?

The problem is you see that saving energy also saves money. Money that we are then free to spend in another way. The more we save the more we have to spend. Perhaps there is another way. What can we do with our money that doesn’t use more energy? Possibly buy some solar panels or a wind generator and then multiply the savings we make. I guess you are already ahead of me - what then do you do with the money you save? Well perhaps the only answer is to spend wisely on ethical green products and keep the money flowing in the economy towards products and services that are green. Yes spending the money to support the green economy is the only way to go.
